cheaper elsewhere Jun 13, 2010 All varieties of Easiyo that I've tried are wonderful. However, Amazon tripled their price last year. Go to the easiyo site to find other US providers.
No Bargain Apr 03, 2010 Although the EasiYo yogurt base makes an acceptable yogurt, the cost is ridiculously high. One can purchase an equal amount of yogurt at any market for far less than half the cost of the base, with no work involved.
intense flavor Oct 20, 2009 This too, like all the other easiyo flavors I have tried, makes a rich, creamy yogurt. It is delicious! However, I find the flavor intense and I am not a raspberry 'nut'. I prefer to make an additional flavor in another jar when I make this one and when serving, layer them in my serving dish. For example, the peach and the raspberry is a classic, but it also goes well with the mango, the plain, the vanilla, and of course many others I just like to experiment. I do this with other flavors as well of course, to give myself and my household variety. Sometimes adding sliced fruit or berries to add texture. If made correctly, the easiyo yogurts come out 'solid' and when stirred are creamy and delicious they are not runny nor do they need the addition of extra milk as many other reviewers have suggested, this just adds unneeded calories. New Zealand is known for their milk and that is what is in the mix, NZ milk powder, Adding milk of another origin defeats the purpose of buying this. Any doubts, look at the ingredients panel and search the internet. (My first batch did not come out perfect but I learned as I went and now I get perfect yoghurt every time-yoghurt is a live culture so it DOES have to be used within it's expiration date (euro exp date d/m/y) to get the desired results)

One of the best! Apr 11, 2009 I did not want to buy a new Easiyo yogurt machine when I already had an electric one. I tried following the directions on the yogurt package but used my electric machine. The yogurt ended up being runny and watery.
When I used milk instead of water and followed the directions that came with the electric machine, instead of the instructions on the package it turned out much, much better.
With those modifications - This is one of the best yogurt starters out there. Rich, creamy and thicker than most other starters. Has a great flavor. I only wish it weren't so expensive.
