Greek style is a Mediterranean style of yogurt that is extremely popular in Europe and the Middle East. It is a full-cream, plain yogurt that is ideal for those that like their yogurt very thick. It is especially good as a base for savory dips, dressings and sauces or a great low-fat substitute for sour cream, cream or cream cheese. Also good for those that require good sources of absorbable calcium, protein and milk fat. All Natural No Preservatives, emulsifiers, stabilisers or other artificial ingredients. Non GM (genetically modified), Wheat & Gluten Free, Halal Certified, Low GI (Glycemic index). Unsweetened Just sweeten to your taste with 2-4 tbsp sugar, honey (melted), icing sugar, sugar-substitute or with your favorite EASIYO Real Fruit Squirt. Ingredients Pasteurised whole milk solids(98%) from free range cows, live lactic cultures (l.bulgaricus, s.thermophilus, l.acidophilus). contains natural lecithin derived from soybean.

Very Easy--But Outrageously Priced Mar 05, 2010
This yogurt is a no-brainer to make even without the Easiyo System. I just mixed it with water, poured it into jelly jars and put it in the oven on the bread proofing setting--and perfect Greek yogurt! I bought 4 packs for the price of three on special through Amazon just a few months ago and it was only $4.75 a packet. So I bought something else and got free shipping. I was very pleased with the purchase. Somehow in the meantime, the price has nearly quadrupled and I'm not sure why. I kept looking thinking I had made a mistake and was looking at a larger quantity or something. But, no, it was the same one. So that priced me out of the market and I won't be buying it again. I just bought some Greek yogurt from the store, stirred 5 oz. of it into heated milk (that had cooled down), put it in the oven--and once again, perfect Greek yogurt -- at a much cheaper price than $15.

I bought these yogurt mizxes last August, and the price was $4.95 per packet. It is completely incomprehensible why they would have tripled in price in half a year. There is no way I would buy 6oz of powdered milk and starter culture for this price.

What is up with this new pricing? $15 for 1 quart?? Seriously??!! I had enjoyed making my own, but at this new price, I guess it is back to the grocery store.

Disappointed in the flavor Jan 06, 2010
In spite of all the rave reviews, I wasn't a big fan of this starter. It's certainly easy to use (just add water) and has a nice texture, but the flavor didn't measure up to my store-bought favorite, Fage. Possibly I incubated mine too long, but it was way too tart for my tastes. Given the price, I won't be buying it again. I bought Easiyo's "Sweet Greek" yogurt starter and absolutely loved the flavor of that one (not too sweet or vanilla-ish...tangy with slight honey sweetness).

very thick and smooth. One bag for one matching easiyo jar. Fresh and healthy comparing to super market yogurt.
